GCHS Screaming Eagle Band

    On Feb. 9th, members of our Grape Creek Screaming Eagle Band participated in the Region 6 UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest.  Our Trumpet Trio (J Schmidt, J. Bearden, and M, Hasty) and
Sax Quartet (C. Reisner, J. Hatten, A. Rosenthal, and B. O’Dell) each received a Division I “Superior” rating and will now advance to the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest in San Marcos.  R. Saldana also advances to “State” with his Sax Solo (memorized) as do J. Schmidt and B. O’Dell who also received Division 1 ratings on Solos (non-memorized).
Receiving Division 2 “Excellent” ratings were our Clarinet Quartet (C. Manning, C. Dillon, C. Tully, K. Harris), our Brass Ensemble (J. Hall, H. Newton, L. Meek, K. Dorris), and solos by C. Manning, H. Newton, K. Harris, and N. Ybarra.  Congratulations Screaming Eagles!!
