TESSELLATIONS

The word "tessellation" comes from the Latin word tessallae, which means tile.  In working with tessellations, negative spaces are created by the positive shapes.

The following assignment is designed to allow you the opportunity for creating works of art that tessellate, while enforcing the  idea that positive shapes can create negative spaces that are just as interesting!
